Chick'n Style Black Pepper Stir Fry Bowl

A block of tofu/seitan/chicken substitute
1 medium yellow onion, sliced
3 cloves of minced garlic Half a head of broccoli, cooked
10 string beans (depends on the length of your string beans) 1 medium carrot, peeled & sliced 1⁄4 cup soy sauce 1 tbsp sugar/sweetener of choice (or more to taste) 2 inches fresh ginger, peeled and grated 1⁄2 tsp black pepper 1⁄4 cup water with 1 tsp corn flour
Salt, to taste 1 tbsp sunflower oil
Add oil in a hot pan.
Add the onion and cook until translucent.
Add garlic and carrot and cook for 4-5 minutes.
Add the rest of the vegetables.
If using tofu, drain liquid and cut into cubes. You can either bake or fry them for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Add to your vegetables.
For the sauce, mix the soy sauce, water with corn flour, ginger, sugar, salt and black pepper.
Mix the sauce with the vegetables and protein of choice. Coat well. Add salt and sugar to taste. Add water if needed.
Serve with rice.
