Campfire White Russian

INGREDIENTS

Spiced Simple Syrup

1 cup sugar 1 cup water 3 whole cardamom pods

4-5 whole cloves 4-5 whole allspice ̈2 whole star anise

White Russian

2 oz vodka 1 oz coffee liqueur 1⁄2 oz spiced simple syrup 1 oz coconut milk ̈Ice cubes ̈Vegan marshmallows, cinnamon garnish

METHOD

Spiced Simple Syrup

Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Slowly bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Remove from heat and add spices. Let spices steep for 15 minutes. Strain and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 weeks. White Russian Fill a glass with ice cubes and add the vodka, coffee liqueur and spiced simple syrup. Swirl the glass to stir the mixture.

Pour over the coconut milk and swirl the glass again to mix.

Garnish with cinnamon sticks, whole star anise and a toasted vegan marshmallow to resemble a campfire.
